Topsidaz makes it two in a row

Topsidaz is off to a good start in the National Lotteries Authority Bagga T-20 Softball Cricket competition for 2012.{{more}}

Topsidaz made it two wins out of two by ousting Sunset by four wickets last Saturday at the Keartons Playing Field.

Sunset was restricted to a meager 49 all out in 12.4 overs. Noel Gaymes grabbed 5 for 6 in 3.4 overs, supported by Shesford John who picked up 3 for 13. Ban Francis topped the batting with 17.

Topsidaz then chased easily, reaching 53 for 6 in 13.1 overs.

In the Topsidaz’ opening match, the previous weekend, Topsidaz defeated Power House Hairoun Warriors by four runs.

Hairoun Warriors batted first and were all out for 119 in their 20-overs; Lorson Lewis hit 31, which was only bettered by 38 extras.

Shesford John, Enrique Gaymes and Sebastian Forde took two wickets each for Topsidaz.

In reply, Topsidaz reached 120 for six in 17-overs led by Levan Richardson’s 45 not out; Winsbert Mapp captured 3 for 17 for Hairoun Warriors.

In another match played last Saturday, Circumstances defeated the more fancied Hillview by 64 runs. Circumstances compiled 135 all out in 19.5 overs. Maxwell Edwards registering the first half century of the competition 56 not out. Edison Williams took 3 for 12.

Hillview then slumped to 71 all out in 13 overs as Donald Lett took 3 for 10. (RT)
