Richland Park Primary School takes Kiddy Cricket title

The Richland Park Primary School triumphed in the Scotia Bank Primary Schools Kiddy Cricket Competition, which ended last Tuesday, February 28, at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex.{{more}}

The Richland Park Primary School topped the other ten finalists in the skills component as well as the actual matches.

Richland Park left the Layou Government to settle for second; the Park Hill Government docked in third and the Owia Government was fourth.

Completing the next four positions were Buccament, Fitz Hughes, Sion Hill and Lodge Village, in that order.

The top eight schools which emerged from last Tuesday’s finals will be part of the first One Day International between West Indies and Australia to be played here at the Arnos Vale Playing Field on Friday, March 16.

Apart from being part of the lunch time on field activities, the players will be rotated as ball boys/ girls during the match.

The other finalists were the Paradise School from Bequia, the Lauders Primary and the Stubbs Government.

Forty-five primary schools participated in the 2012 competition.(RT)
