But it was a mixed bag for them as they one won one, albeit without a sweat, and lost the other.

The Bequia Challengers got a not so good introduction as they were beaten by Mac Little Saints by 20 runs.

Batting first, Mac Little Saints were dismissed for 88 in 11.5 overs. Glenroy Blucher topped the batting with 26 not out.

Bowling for Bequia Challengers, Aaron Friday captured 2 for 19 and Jason Ollivierre had 2 for 18.

In reply, Bequia Challengers only managed 68 in 7.4 overs. Resron Walters was the main destroyer of their innings bagging 4 for 32, while Kesron Walters chipped in with 3 for 25.

Fortunes shifted as Bequia Challengers won by default from Street Vybes which turned up with only six players.

In Sunday’s other match, ASCO inflicted a 32 run defeat on Georgie Valley Saints.

Batting first ASCO was restricted to 119 in 15.1 overs; Damion Chance hit a topscore of 25.

Kareem Cumberbatch bagged 5 for 27 and Emmerson Quashie grabbed 3 for 14.

In reply, Georgie Valley Saints were dismissed for 87 in 17.5 overs. Kishawn Williams got 27. For ASCO, Osborne Franklyn was miserly taking 3 for 3, with Bernard Bushay and Marlon Farrell accounting for two wickets each.

This weekend, Clinchers play Bank of SVG All Stars from 1pm tomorrow in the Male Division, then ASCO faces Dig Deep Warriors from 3pm in the Female Division.

On Sunday, Young Thugs play CWSA Sports Club from 9:30 am. From 1pm, Glen United meets United Survivors in the Female Division, and from 3pm, Georgie Valley Saints play Digicel Stallions from 3:15 pm. (RT)
