Lewis, in a change of heart, after he had indicated that he would not to seek the top post, won 21 to 2 in a run off against Lance Caesar. Caesar was the Interim Committee’s Vice President.

Lewis, a former Committee Member, was elevated to interim President, following the resignation of then President Anton Caesar.

Lewis in an interview with SEARCHLIGHT said he reconsidered his decision so that he could continue some of the work his committee began.

Looking ahead, Lewis said: “We will be continuing to link with the community and even expand on our activities.”

At present, the BSA organizes Football, Softball Cricket and Netball, but Lewis said that in the biennium, they intend to spread their scope to have Volleyball and Table Tennis introduced.

“We also will continue to work with the schools in the area,” Lewis added.

And, as part of their capacity building efforts, Lewis revealed that the BSA will soon be hosting workshops to train persons in leadership and management.

Ronen Francis, who was Committee Member on the outgoing Interim Committee, took the Vice President position.

Devron Poyer, who was also a Committee Member, is the BSA’s Public Relations Officer, replacing Trelson Mapp, with Moeth Gaymes retaining the Treasurer’s position, likewise the Assistant Secretary, Austinsha Solomon.

Lewis has since appointed Shonella Llewellyn as the BSA’s Secretary. Casintha Duncan was the previous holder of that post.

The rest of the Executive should be completed this week with the appointment of the Committee Members.

The General Meeting also heard the President’s Report along with the Financial Report from the various competitions.

The BSA, through its sub-committee, will soon be hosting its annual Softball Cricket Competition at the Keartons Playing Field.
