Cycling Union announces its 2012 road racing programme

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union has announced its 2012 road racing programme.{{more}}

The packed programme involves a wide selection of races, including hill climbs, road races, power sprints, time trials, as well as the keep fit rides, which will take place at various venues across mainland St Vincent.

The first race will start outside the First Caribbean International Bank this Sunday, January 29, at 3:00 pm, around capital Kingstown.

There will be three categories of races: BMX, Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes.

According to a release from the SVG Cycling Union, all interested cyclists can register at Sailor’s Cycle Centre on or before January 29. Races are opened to all female and male cyclists and there will be races for all ages from 3 years old. Prizes will be awarded to the first three places in each category.
