Imani King is fast emerging as the most male promising Junior Tennis player in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

King won two titles at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association Junior Christmas Tournament, which ended on Thursday, December 22, at the National Tennis Centre at Vila.

The left handed King won the Boys Under-14 and Under-16 Singles titles.

In taking the Under-14, King defeated Sebastian Cyrus, 4-1, 5-4, and saw off Akeem Guy, 6-3, 6-3, in the Under-16 championship match.

However, King was to taste defeat in the Boys Under-18 Doubles, as he and Richard Akcayli went down to Rafai Bentick and Julio Francis, 6-3, 6-1.

The other title winners were Bentick, Denee Lyttle and Olivia Haslam.

Bentick beat Francis, 6-1, 6-1, to take the Boys Under-18, while Lyttle secured the Girls Under-14, which was played on a round robin basis. Second to the unbeaten Lyttle was Halimah Michael.

Haslam won the Girls Under-18 singles, ahead of Halimah Michael, taking the deciding match, 6-4, 6-2.

The Most Improved Male Player award was taken by Akeem Guy, with Denee Lyttle adjudged the Most Improved Female Player.

Twenty seven players participated in the four day tournament, which had Roxanne Williams as its director.
