Harry is Searchlight’s choice – 2011

Multi talented Coach Godfrey “Fuzzy” Harry is the SEARCHLIGHT’s choice of the stand out influential person on sports in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 2011.{{more}}

During the past twelve months, Harry, who wears many hats, has been able to lead his charges to a few national titles.

As Physical Education teacher at the Thomas Saunders Secondary School, Harry was able to capture male and female divisions of the Inter Secondary Schools Track and Field Meet.

It was Harry’s efforts, which saw the Thomas Saunders Secondary School, become the first Vincentian institution to be part of the famed Penn Relays in the United States of America, last April.

Harry, the first male to be President of the modern set up of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association, and who is also a Netball coach, also led his team from the Thomas Saunders Secondary to victory in the Junior Division of the 2011 Vita Malt Secondary Schools Netball Competition.

Additionally, Harry’s club, X-Ceed Sports Club, which celebrated its fifth year of existence this year, also captured the League and Knock Out titles of the Digicel National Club Tournament.

Another part of the X- Ceed clan, Third Eye Security X- Ceed, took the Division 3 League title.

As President and Head Coach of X- Ceed, the title of National Athletics Club champions came Harry’s way.

X- Ceed sports the largest contingent of athletes at the annual event. (RT)
