For the second year in succession, the Central Leeward Secondary School student has emerged as the leading goal scorer in the Coca Cola sponsored Secondary Schools Competition, which climaxed last Friday at the Victoria Park.

The talismanic Anderson, in his first year in the Under-21 Division, won the accolade for his twelve goals, which helped his school to take the 2011 title.

In the 2010 edition, Anderson was the top goal scorer in the Under-16 Division, when he netted 14 times.

In other awards which were presented last Friday at the Closing and Presentation Ceremony, the Central Leeward Secondary was adjudged the Most Disciplined Team in the Under-16 Division, with the Petit Bordel Secondary, the recipient in the Under-21 Division.

The CLSS was presented with the Tyrone “Tweety” Spence and the Sylvester “Scobie” Taylor Shields, for winning the opening matches in the Under-16 and Under-21 categories.

Secondary – Zone C and the St Vincent Grammar School – Zone D.

The Zonal winners in the Under-21 Division were the Georgetown Secondary, the Central Leeward Secondary, the Bequia Community High and the Dr J P Eustace Memorial, which took Zone A, B, C and D, in that order.

The competition was a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of National Mobilisation, Youth, Sport etc. and the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.(RT)
