The SVG Masters Cricket Competition has reached its Quarter Finals stage, following last weekendâs last round of preliminary matches.{{more}}
On Saturday last, at Arnos Vale One, C.K.Greaves Vintage Arnos Vale made light work of Bickles Fun Masters by 8 wickets.
Bickles Fun Masters was dismissed for 44. McNeil Morgan took 4 for 3, and Elson Crick, 3 for 8. Arnos Vale replied with 45 for 2.
On Sunday, also at Arnos Vale One, St.Vincent Cooperative Bank Pâ tani defeated Computec Belfongo by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Belfongo posted 145 for 4 from their 20 overs. Cleus Robinson struck 43, Jicimaw Browne, 29, Curtis King, 28 not out, and Peter Campbell, 20.
In response, Pâtani scored 146 for 6, with three balls to spare. Jerome Samuel led the way with 65 not out, and Alfred McKenzie made 37. Daniel McMillan and Rohan King took two wickets each, bowling for Belfongo.
In Sundayâs other match, also played at Arnos Vale One, defending champions RSVG Police beat Rudyâs Electrical Barrouallie by nine wickets.
Barrouallie was bowled out for 76. David Porter struck 33, as Elgin Richards picked up 3 for 10, bowling for the lawmen. Elvis Browne and Parnell Browne both got two wickets apiece.
Gosnel Cupid with 44 and Trevor Bailey, 28 not out, then piloted the defending champions to 77 for 1.
The quarter finals line up this Sunday shows RSVG Police engaging Pâtani at Arnos Vale Two from 10:00 am, while at the Grammar School Playing Field, Stubbs takes on North Leeward Combined.
From 1:30 pm, Arnos Vale meets Barrouallie at Arnos Vale Two, and at the Grammar School Playing Field, Kingstown entertains Belfongo. (RT)
