The inaugural firms competition comes to an end this Saturday at the Grammar School Playing Field, with the Final of the League, between Transport and Works and Vinlec.

Vinlec, which copped the Soccerama title on the opening day of the league, made it to the Finals, with a 3-1 win over Prime Minister’s Office in the last Semi Final on Tuesday.

However, Prime Minister’s Office had an opportunity to redeem themselves yesterday when they were set to meet Transport and Works in the Knock Out Finals.

Before tomorrow’s Final, which is set to begin at 4:00 pm, Prime Minister’s Office and Coreas/ Hazells Inc will contest the third place play off from 2:00 pm.

The presentation ceremony of this first ever Workers’ Football league will be held at a later date.

The North East League concludes this Sunday, December 4, at the Chilli Playing Field, with the League Final between Sea Operations Greiggs and last year’s winners, Carib Warriors.

Sunday’s final starts at 3:00 p.m., with Greiggs seeking to do the double, after they took the Knock Out competition with a two nil triumph over DESCO in last Sunday’s final.

But before Sunday’s grand finale on Saturday, there will be the third place play off between Brownstown Most Wanted and DESCO.

The Presentation and Closing Ceremony will take place following Sunday’s Final. (RT)
