Secondary Schools’ Football Competition reaches Quarter-Finals

The last eight schools in both the Junior and Senior Divisions of the Coca Cola Secondary Schools Football Competition will from today, Tuesday, November 22, enter the first of the knock-out phase, the quarter-finals.{{more}}

The Junior Division commences today with all four quarter-finals taking place at three venues.

At the Grammar School Playing Field from 1:15 pm, the Georgetown Secondary takes on the Bishop’s College Kingstown; then from 2:30 pm also at that venue, the St. Vincent Grammar School faces off with the Bethel High School.

The Central Leeward Secondary, the 2010 winners, faces the Dr. J P Eustace Memorial at the Campden Park Playing Field, from 1:15 pm. At the Chilli Playing Field, starting at 1:00 p.m, the St. Martin’s Secondary comes up against the Sandy Bay Secondary.

The Quarter-Final match-ups in the Senior Division see the Bequia Community High engaging the Sandy Bay Secondary from 11:00 am, at the Grammar School Playing Field, then at the same venue, the Central Leeward Secondary takes on the Emmanuel High Mespo, from 2:00 p.m.

Also that same day, the Georgetown Secondary faces the Bishop’s College Kingstown at the Chilli Playing Field from 1:15 pm, and the defending champion, the Dr. JP Eustace Memorial, opposes the Bethel High School at Campden Park, also from 1:15 pm.

The winners of the quarter-final matches go forth to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals in the Junior Division are slated for next week Thursday, November 23, both beginning at 1: 30 pm; however, the venues are yet to be determined.

Teams reaching the last four in the Senior Division will seek to reach the final, when they meet in the semi-finals on Monday, November 28, at venues to be announced. (RT)
