Biabou T/20 Softball Cricket Competition motoring along

Stallions beat Bank of SVG All Stars by 31 runs last Saturday in one of five matches played in the Biabou Twenty/20 Championship at the Biabou Playing Field.{{more}}

Stallions posted 182 for seven; Marlon Duncan cracked 72 including 8 sixes and 3 fours and Glenroy Dasent took three for 18.

All Stars were dismissed for 151; Kenny Stapleton hit 36; Glenroy Dasent and Earl Pope scored 32 each; Kishorn Lavia grabbed 2 for 16, bowling for Stallions.

Young Strikers had a narrow four-run win over Nice Time Panthers. Batting first, Young Strikers made 163, with good knocks from Zimroy Baptiste 37 and Shem Baptiste 36; Kurt Nero took 4 for 43 and Verrol Henry 2 for 25.

In reply, Panthers reached 159 for 7, led by Eversley Thomas with 66 not out.

On Sunday, Byrea Linkers had a six-wicket win over Damage Boys Re-Load.

ReLoad batted first and reached 48, as Bertram James topscored with 24.

Shacky Williams took 2 for 5 and Stephen Culzac grabbed 2 for 16.

Linkers then raced to 54 for 4; Ronique Williams hit 20. Bowling for Re-Load, Kevin Primus snared 2 for 13 and Javed Harry claimed 2 for 20.

Dr. Thomas Injectors defeated Biabou United by 16 runs.

Injectors, on the back of 65 from Augustine Corridon, compiled 104 for eight; Roydon Lampkin got 2 for 13 and Lawrence Ashton 2 for 17, bowling for Biabou United, who were sent packing for 88.

Lawrence Ashton led the way with 31, as Stephen Straker took 5 for 12, bowling for Dr. Thomas Injectors.

And, YD Lima Hot Spurs humbled Hill Top Lions by 30 runs.

Hot Spurs put together 146, led by Sylvannus Williams with 40.

Malcolm Jacobs took 3 for 45, Hermus Garrick 2 for 8, and Alex Garrick 2 for 17, bowling for Hill Top Lions.

The Lions were dismissed for 116. Alex Garrick struck 36, as Sean Padmore claimed 4 for 28, to be Hot Spurs’ top wicket-taker.
