Woodley takes top prizes in Greiggs Softball Cricket awards

Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem One ‘s player Glenford Woodley turned out to be the Player of the Tournament in the Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem Greiggs Softball Cricket Competition{{more}} which closed off last Sunday.

Woodley gained the top award, as he was the top bowler and batsman in the competition.

Woodley scored the most runs, 251, and collected the most wickets, 13, to be the clear winner overall.

The most catches were held by Garry Mathews, also of Nar Fren Dem One. Matthews also took away the trophy for the best run out.

Nar Fren Dem’s Jamal John was voted the Best Wicket keeper. Kevin Harry also of Nar Fren Dem was adjudged as having claimed the Best Catch award.

The Most Outstanding player was Police’s Salvan Browne.

Hyron Shallow of Glen United struck the most sixes in the competition, as he cleared the boundary twenty nine times.

The two century makers in the competition were J ‘ var Caine of Fully Loaded Hard Knockers, who struck 108, and Owia Shottaz’s Braxie Browne, who scored 105.

The 2011 winners, RSVG Police, was adjudged the Most Disciplined Team, and Fully Loaded Hard Knockers, the Best Dressed Team.

The 2011 saw twenty teams participating.(RT)
