Bank of SVG defeated a former winner, the National Sports Council, in an entertaining finals, by 11 runs.

Chasing 60 to win, the NSC fell for 48, to leave the Bank of SVG and their supporters in glee, as they are assured of the winner’s cheque of $1200, but more so, the bragging rights.

The road was made easy for Bank of SVG as they ousted the powerful RSVG Police in the quarter finals, which were also played last Saturday evening,

After that, the bankers got rid of ECGC in the semi finals.

NSC, on the other hand, saw off Ruddy’s Electrical in the quarter finals and made sure that there would be a new champion when they stopped the 2010 winners, LIME, in the semi finals.

In getting to the last four, ECGC beat CK Greaves in an exciting quarter final, and LIME got past Hairoun in the quarter finals.

Sixteen teams in all participated in the competition. The others which did not get to the quarter final phase were Vinlec, Guinness, Rotary Kingstown, Sagicor, Courts, Insurance Associates, SG De Freitas and Presidente.(RT)
