Newly elected First Vice President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) Lloyd Small has assured the current employees of the organisation that their jobs are secure, at least for the time being.{{more}}

Small, speaking soon after the Venold Coombs- led Executive was swept into office, stated that the new national Football custodians will not be sacking anyone immediately, but will be doing appraisals of their performance over time.

Small hinted that some persons held the view that the firing of some employees of the SVGFFF should be an immediate undertaking by the Coombs led Executive.

Small said that as a person very experienced in labour relations, that is not the way to go immediately.

The SVGFF has a paid General Secretary in Ian Hypolite, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Secretariat, as well as an office manager and a secretary.

The technical staff is headed by Technical Director Colwyn Rowe; Assistant Coach Cornelius Huggins, and Goal Keeper Coach Kevin Richardson.

Richardson was brought on board to function in his specialist role as well as to assist in the Youth Development Programme and the school system.

Additionally, current senior team manager Theon Gordon, Seamus Mc Carthy, Keith Ollivierre and Jasmine Browne, who are attached to the female development segment of the sport, receive stipends in their capacities as team managers and coaches.

The new Executive was voted in last Saturday at the Annual General Meeting, staged at the second floor of the Golden Apple Restaurant Building on Halifax Street in capital, Kingstown.

Apart from Coombs and Small, the other elected members are Second Vice President Marvin Fraser and Third Vice President, Paul Boucher. (RT)
