GTC climbing the ladder

The Grassroot Tennis Club (GTC) launched a Tennis Ladder last weekend. The Ladder consists of ten players who would be chosen at random from top male players in the land, including coaches.{{more}}

The players will compete weekly by playing a person on the Ladder who is one step ahead of them, and if successful, the winner would move up.

Players from the general public can enter the Ladder by playing the number ten seed, and any player remaining at the top for four consecutive weeks would receive two cases of sport drinks.

Also in the mix is the Men’s Doubles ladder, consisting of five teams with the same format.

There is no cost to participating in the Ladder.

The GTC intends to launch a similar ladder system for women in October.
