The win pushed Rivals to 92 points, eight more than Victors One, which already has a match in hand against the 2010 champions, OLA Boutique Radcliffe.

Victors One and Radcliffe hold the key to the winner, as several permutations are possible, including a sharing of the title.

With all of Saturday’s play lost because of rain, Police One batted first and was shot out for 50.

Deighton Butler led the way, as he picked up 5 for 15; Olanzo Jackson got 2 for 6 and Roland Wilkinson 2 for 12.

In unusual circumstances and in a chase to get maximum points, Rivals forfeited their first innings.

When Police One batted a second time, they fared worse and were dismissed for 39, setting Rivals 90 to win.

Deighton Butler was again the pick of the Rivals bowling, this time taking 5 for 22, to finish with match figures of 10 for 37, and Olanzo Jackson picked up 3 for 16.

Rivals reached 92 for 2, to end their quota of matches and head to the top of the standings, hoping for either the elements to play a part or Radcliffe take maximum or first innings from Victors One.

In Rivals’ victory chase, Hyron Shallow made 42 and Marvin Small struck 35 not out, both of them being national players.(RT)
