Mixed bag for Troumaca in NL T/20

Defending champions, Carlos James Troumaca United had a mixed bag last Sunday in the VINLEC North Leeward Twenty20 Cricket tournament.{{more}}

Troumaca United defeated Winterset Ball Beaters by seven runs in a low scoring affair. Troumaca United was dismissed for 98 off 16.1 overs.

Fitzmore Edwards had 3 for 26 and there were two wickets each for Kesroy Debique, Kenard Edwards and Omar Tucker.

Winterset Ball Beaters at their turn at the crease fell for 91 off 18.1 overs. Alain Williams struck 35.

Colin Shoy took 3 for 14, with Atticus Browne and Nicholas Alexander both taking 2 for 12.

In their second game of the day, Carlos James Troumaca United could not maintain their momentum and faltered to Peto Stars.

Buoyed by the home support, Peto Stars did not disappoint and achieved a highly improbable victory.

Troumaca United posted a total of 178 all out off 18.5 overs. Sheldon Hooper hit 39.

Peto Stars replied strongly with 178 for 3 off 18.4 overs. Rongel Small with 88 struck the highest individual score to date in this year’s competition. Otis Matthews chipped in with 47. Gerald Gould took 2 for 44, bowling for the defending champions.
