This, the second GTC Junior Summer tournament, had to be postponed by one week, because of heavy rains last week, and dovetails with the GTC second annual three-week Summer Camp.

Many of the participants are budding players who are into the first tournaments emerging from the camp, while some are seasoned individuals.

Among the better known players are Sebastian and Alexander Cyrus, Luke Browne, Chelsea Haslam, and Imani King.

The Cyrus brothers, Haslam, Browne and King featured prominently in the recently concluded National Junior Summer Tournament, put on by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association.

Competition in the GTC Tournament is in the Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 categories, for both males and females.

The GTC Under-10 winners of the category will go forward as the national winners, since this category has been sanctioned by the local parent body.

The GTC Tournament concludes this Saturday afternoon with a Closing and Presentation Ceremony.
