Sea Operations Ltd. assists in  developing youth through sports


Thirty young persons between the ages of five and 15 will have the opportunity this summer to learn to play the game of squash.{{more}}

The SVG Squash Association will host a Squash Summer Camp from July 18 to July 22. The camp is sponsored by Sea Operations Ltd., a general and marine contracting company, well known for its support of youth development.

Sessions will run from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm daily at the National Squash Centre in Pauls Avenue (enter via the National Lotteries Carpark). The sessions will be conducted by National Squash Coach James Bentick, who is instrumental in the development and success of the current national junior Squash players.

A release from the Squash association said that these summer camps have produced Junior Squash Players who are also the top Junior Players in the OECS. They have competed in regional tournaments in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Guyana, Barbados, St. Lucia and BVI and in International Tournaments such as the US Open and the Commonwealth Games in India.

Registration forms are available at the National Squash Centre. Sessions are free and squash gear (racquets, balls and protective eyewear) will be provided for use during the sessions.

The SVG Squash Association has expressed thanks to Sea Operations Ltd. for their sponsorship of the 2011 Summer Camp.
