The St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards right handed middle order batsman stroked 110 not out for Middlesex against Diplomats at Marine Park A.

Hector’s innings consisted of 14 fours. He was overshadowed, though, by the left handed Sharaz Baksh, who finished with 172 not out. Baksh struck 23 fours and 3 sixes, as they shared in a 294 run partnership for the third wicket.

Both came together at 9 for 2, following the loss of Mark Audain and Joseph Lewdrigde, to see Middlesex post 302 without any further loss.

Bowling for Diplomats, the only successful bowler was Tegana Mc Kenzie, with 2 from 57 from seven overs.

In reply, Diplomats could only muster 80 for 9. Captain Romeno Deane topscored with 24. Sherwin Bazil had retired hurt, suffering from cramps, thus ending the Diplomats response prematurely.

Middlesex’s captain Dominic Audain produced a hostile spell to finish with 4 for 15 from 7 overs, while new boy Sean Edwards grabbed 4 for 30, which included a hat trick. Edwards, on his way to this hattrick, had two of his scalps bowled, and the other went via the LBW route.(RT)
