In front of a small gathering of Netball die-hards, Mitres beat arch rivals Vita Malt Maple 66-61 to end unbeaten throughout the season. Maple, the 2010 Knock Out winners, led the first quarter 17-14, but Mitres rebounded to take the second, 33-28, the third, 50-44, and finally 66-61. The bean pole Frederick, the 2009 Junior Sportswoman of the Year, poured in 352 goals of her 388 attempts, to return a 90.72 % accuracy.

The Most Outstanding Junior Player was Shanice Daniel, of French Verandah X-Ceed. Daniel was also named the Best Centre Court Player.

Ruth Ann Williams, of Twilight Trading X- Ceed, copped the Best Center Court award among the seniors.

Additionally, one member of each of the 33 teams which finished the competition was awarded with her team’s Most Valuable Player award.
