Culzac, who is also an avid footballer and cricketer, completed the distance in 3 hours 22 minutes 55.92 seconds.

The Murray’s Village resident, who failed to complete his race in the OECS Cycling Championship held in Antigua and Barbuda three weeks ago, because of mechanical problems, made amends on home soil.

Orano Andrews, who placed 12th in the OECS Championships, had to settle for second, in 3 hours 25 minutes 59.37 seconds.

Andrews, who is based in the British Virgin Islands, was summoned home for the event.

Clinching third was Shimano Bailey, whose time was three hours 30 minutes 01.62 seconds.

Ten cyclists started the event, which rode off from outside the FirstCaribbean International Bank (FCIB) on Halifax Street, Kingstown. They took a route along the east coast to Tourouma, returned to the Roundabout Arnos Vale, back to Diamond and returned to Sion Hill. (RT)
