Unique Warriors flatten Neil Williams Academy

Unique Warriors flattened the Neil Williams Academy by an innings and 90 runs in the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the National Cricket Programme.{{more}}

Christopher Campbell, 73, William Edwards, 57, led Unique Warriors to 207 for 9 declared batting first at the North Union Playing Field.

Kavin Greaves took 3 for 30 and Maxwell Edwards, 3 for 40, bowling for the Academy, who was dismissed for 86.

Samuel Holder, 3 for 8, and Alphie Gould, 2 for 21, took the bulk of the wickets for Unique Warriors.

Following on, the Academy was shot out for 31, as Gould bagged 3 for 11 and Leon Samuel, 3 for 17.

Also in the First Division, in another inexplicable case, Rivals Two did not show up on day two, Sunday, at Stubbs.

Rivals Two made 82. Elric Morris, 5 for 20, and Darren Greaves, 2 for 6.

Greaves was 62 not out and Desron Maloney, 32 not out, at close of play on Saturday, as ASCO was 98 without loss .

The other match in the First Division, Log Enterprises gained first innings over Owia Stars at London.

Owia, led by Omarl Lorraine’s 95, Rodney Thomas, 46, Shem Browne, 45, and Roger Francois, 33, posted 257. Sylvanus Morgan snapped up 4 for 69 and Joseph Medford, 3 for 56.

In response, Log Masters made 276. Sylvannus Morgan scored 56, Sylvester Vanloo, 45, and Lynton Greaves, 30.

Rawle Baptiste snared 6 for 86 for the host team.

In the RBTT/NLA Premier Division, both matches were decided on first innings.

At Arnos Vale One, Eat Rite Saints got the upper hand on Police One.

Police One made 176. Parnell Browne hit 47, Vertil Davis, 42. Walford Ambris picked up 4 for 42, Ray Charles, 2 for 16, and Isaac Haywood, 2 for 52.

Saints responded with 205 for 5 declared. Rickford Walker struck 87 and Sunil Ambris, 72. Malcolm Alexander took 2 for 15, bowling for Police One, who in their second innings were 33 for 3. Zane Edwards had taken 2 for 6.

And, at Arnos Vale Two, Police Two got over Victors Two.

Police Two made 163; with Mc Leon Williams the topscorer with 40. Javon Samuel snared 4 for 55, Kevin Abraham, 3 for 27, and Jamal Nash, 2 for 46.

Victors Two’s reply stopped at 125. Lauron Baptiste punched in 42, as Rolando Wright helped himself to 5 for 43 and Kenroy Martin, 2 for 40.

Batting a second time, Police Two was mesmerized by Javon Samuel, who grabbed 6 for 33, to finish with a match haul of 10 for 88, and Kevin Abraham, 3 for 30.

Chasing 127 to win, Victors Two was 67 for 4 when rain showers forced the players from the field. (RT)
