Making it through the last eight from Group A are Roseans, Montrose United, Avenues and Top Roseau.

Interestingly, Roseans, Montrose and Avenues all finished with 13 points from their seven matches. However, it took a goal difference to separate the final placings.

Roseans, which played unbeaten, finished at the top of the group, as they had a goal difference of eight, while Montrose had a positive difference of four, and Avenues, three.

Top Roseau also got their quarter final berth by virtue of scoring more goals than Police. Both outfits ended on 10 points, had the same goal difference of two, but Top Roseau netted 11 goals, to Police’s 9.

The others which competed in Group A were: Ottley Hall, Foreign Base and Hollywood.

Emerging from Group B are Richmond Hill, Toni’s Stores Central, Chubby’s Plan and Computec Spurs.

Richmond Hill finished first with 17 points, followed by Central with 13 points.

Both played unbeaten, with Richmond Hill winning five matches and drawing two, and Central winning three and drawing four. Plan completed their quota of seven matches, with three wins, two draws and two losses, finishing on 11 points.

Spurs completed the quartet from the group, as they put together 10 points.

The quarter finalists from Group B left Largo Height, Green Hill, Rocks and Kingstown Park, in that order, licking their wounds, as they have to try again next year.

The quarter finals see Roseans taking on Computec Spurs, Montrose versus Plan, Avenues faces Central, and Top Roseau meets Richmond Hill.

The Quarter Finals were set to start yesterday, Thursday, at the competition venue, the Redemption Sharpes Playing Field.
