NLA Bagga T/20 Competition gaining momentum

Five matches were completed last weekend in the National Lotteries Authority Bagga T/20 Softball Cricket Competition at the Keartons Playing Field.{{more}}

Suprizers got past the formidable Keartons United by eight wickets. Keartons batted first and was dismissed for 59 in 17.2 overs. Dillon Duncan was the pick of Suprizers’ bowling, as he claimed 3 for 11. Neville Williams, Calvert Cordice, and Leroy Duncan took two wickets each. Suprizers made light work of the target, reaching 63 for 2 in 17 overs. Roy Richards was 24 not out.

Glen United continued their winning ways over Circumstances. Glen United reached 102 in their 20 overs, recovering from 47 for 6. Troy Harry top-scored with 41, as Kenvil Samuel, Ronnique Laborde and Lemuel Browne grabbed two wickets apiece. Circumstances were then bowled out for 45. Kerwin Browne took 3 for 3.

On Sunday, Valley Boys beat Come Again by three wickets. Come Again made 88 in their 20 overs, with Colin Gordon top-scoring with 16, and Randolph Bascombe taking 4 for 11. Valley Boys reached the target in the last over, for the loss of seven wickets.

RSVG Police defeated Topsidaz by 84 runs. The lawmen, batting first, made 153 for 8 in their 20 overs. Rolando Wright scored 50 and Elmore Alexander hit 23. Enrique Gaymes had 2 for 6. Topsidaz in reply could only reach 69. Wright and Alexander in their delivery of good all- round performances each took three wickets.

In the final match of the weekend, Summerset beat Hillview by nine wickets. Hillview posted 87. Ralmore Pierre took 3 for 12. Summerset then strolled to 93 for 1. Kevin Small hit 45 not out, supported by Orlando Charles with 24. (RT)
