The Digicel sponsored swim team of Brandon Bristol, Zefal Bailey and Arthur LaBorde returned home on Monday, March 14, with five medals from the tournament.

This was the first time any of the swimmers had competed at a long course event in an Olympic size 50 meter pool.

Brandon Bristol obtained three bronze medals in the 50M freestyle, 50M breaststroke and 100M backstroke, while Arthur LaBorde captured a silver medal in the 200M individual medley. Zefal Bailey also won the bronze in that race.

Attendance at this meet was part of the preparation for the upcoming CARIFTA Games.

The Digicel trio is also expected to take part in the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre club championships in St. Lucia from April 8 – April 10.

The team’s performance could be attributed to the work of coaches Neisha Alexander and Rickydene Alexander.
