Peters named Defensive Player of the Year

Vincentian Greg Peters was on March 1, 2011, named the Defensive Player of the Year by a vote of the league coaches and first team of the Cascade Conference All-League team.{{more}}

Peters plays basketball with the Men’s team at Northwest University.

Peters, originally from Belmont, led the league in rebounding with a 9.3 rpg average, was 3rd in blocked shots (1.1 bpg), and was 6th in field goal percentage (60%). Peters was also named CCC Player of the Week on November 22, 2010.

He also earned CCC Scholar Athlete this past winter. Peters also led the Eagles in scoring with a 12.2 ppg average, a release from Al Kawashima, Sports Information Director of Men’s Basketball at Northwest University said.
