Chelsea beats Hope

Hope International, one of the top five clubs in the National Lotteries Authority National Football Club Championships, put on by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation, had a jolt last weekend as the competition picked up pace at the Victoria Park.{{more}}

While defending champions, Avenues United inflicted an 8-0 drubbing on Zodiac, outside favourites to the title, Hope International lost to Edge Solutions Campdonia Chelsea, 2-4.

Hope International was looking to maintain their winning ways following their victory over K&R Strikers 5-1, last week Wednesday. The goal scorers for Hope International in that comfortable victory were Shane Glynn who scored twice, alongside Dwayne Dennie, Dorian Dallaway and Juma Gilkes, one each.

System 3, the 2009-2010 runners up, defeated Toni Store Jugglers 3-1. Troy Jeffers, Lex Olliver and Akeem Hazelwood scored a goal each for System 3, while Kenny Richards scored for Jugglers.

Also, Jebelle hammered a defeat on JG Agencies & Sons Stingers 5-0. Emerald George scored a brace and there was one each by Thaddeus Sam, Wilron Joseph and Diandrous Williams.

Meanwhile, Last Friday, Edge Solution Camdonia Chelsea got past Predators 3-1. For Chelsea Amal Stephens, Zamoro Pompey and Christopher Springer, each got their names on the score sheet. Calrick Ferdinand replied for Predators.

Pastures United rebounded from a loss last week Sunday to see off Zodiac 4-1, on Saturday last. Norris John scored a brace, while Wendell Cuffy and Roy Richardson scored one each for Pastures. Cosmos Hackshaw scored the lone goal for Zodiac.

In the lone First Division fixture, Sea Operations Greggs FC and Gabba Boyz played to a 1-1 draw. Handel Matthews scored for Greggs, while Clementson Williams scored for Gabba Boyz. (RT)
