Morgan powers Arnos Vale into KO T/20 semis

A good all round performance by former St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards fast bowler Mc Neil Morgan was the fulcrum of C K Greaves Arnos Vale’s triumph in the Log Enterprises SVG Masters T/ 20 Knock Out Competition last weekend.{{more}}

Playing against Rudy’s Electrical Barrouallie, Morgan slammed 87 not out, and with Ted Roberts, another former St. Vincent and the Grenadines player, who made 51 not out, pushed their team to 164 for 1, off their 20 overs.

Morgan then took 2 for 26, and Pat Warner 2 for 15 helped restrict Barrouallie to 140 for 6.

Lance John, who played for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Windwards and the Combined Islands, struck 48, Orlando Charles made 32, and Ian Williams, in a losing cause, as they fell short by 24 runs.

Arnos Vale will meet Kingstown in their semi final match up.

Also reaching the semi finals was RSVG Police, who trampled Tropical Shipping Stubbs by eight wickets.

Stubbs posted 94 for 5 from their allotted 20 overs, with Samuel Williams making 29, I Livingstone John, 22, and former SVG, Windwards and West Indies A opening batsman Dawnley Joseph hitting 21.

Bowling for the lawmen, Calvin Glasgow snared 2 for 17.

Gosnel Cupid, another former SVG and Windwards batsman, made a topscore of 35, Jeffrey Laborde struck 30, and former SVG batsman, Oneil Thomas contributed 23.

RSVG Police and Sion Hill will contest the other semi final. (RT)
