Postponed from last Sunday, the Division Two and Division Three finals came off, but not without another piece of drama.

There was a late start of the Division Three match up between Nice Radio Clinchers 3 and Petroleum Services ASCO 5.

However, when things got started, it was all Clinchers. The Marriaqua based outfit, outscored their opponents in all quarters.

First it was 8-4, then 22-6 at the half way mark. Clinchers then rushed to a 34-9 lead in the third quarter and finally triumphed 48-12.

For Clinchers, Khadia Williams poured in 34 of her 43 attempts and Keneisha Francis sank 14 of her 15.

For ASCO 5, Kristel Richards scored 7 from 11, and Kameisha Vincent 5 from 5.

But the intended Division Two clash between Vets Sports Club and AJ Block Making Ian Allen Secret Clickers ended with Vets granting the title to their opponents.

Vets, who turned up with six players and with one player debarred because of a ruling, thought it better to award the match to Secret Clickers.

Secret Clickers completed the double, having already secured the League title.

The Division One Knock Out title was also determined by a default as CC’s Crystals after beating Yanja Young Strugglers had no team to compete against, as the other intended semi final match saw no activity, because neither teams, ASCO Two nor Nice Radio Clinchers showed up.

ASCO One won the League competition in Division One, with ASCO Two, second and third was CC’s Crystals.

Nar Fren Dem was second in Division Two and Bop Clinchers, third. Nice Radio Clinchers secured Division Three league title, with ASCO 5 second and ASCO 6, third.

Despite the many hiccups, organizers, will host the Closing and Presentation Ceremony on Saturday, January, 29, at the Dauphine Community Center. (RT)
