The 2009 league winners ousted Sion Hill in the finals of the Sixes Competition.

That match preceded the 2010 league finals, between Tropical Shipping Stubbs and RSVG Police, held at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, last Sunday.

A match between between CK Greaves Arnos Vale and Stubbs, which had started during the opening ceremony last August, but was incomplete, was also played last Sunday, as well as the two semi-finals.

Arnos Vale got past Stubbs to set up their semi-final against Sion Hill.

In the first semi-final match up, Kingstown got past St. Vincent Co-operative Bank P’tani.

Kingstown replied with 29 for no loss, after P’tani had scored 28.

Sion Hill then eased past Arnos Vale, to reach the final. Arnos Vale posted 32, to which Sion Hill responded with 33 for 1.

But it was all Kingstown in the final. Sion Hill got to 38 for 3 from their allotted four overs. Kingstown reached 39 for 2, with four balls to spare.

The Sixes Competition sees a team of six players, with only four of them bowling an over each. However, the fielding teams may have a full complement of eleven players.

Log Enterprises Kingstown earned themselves $600 for coming out on top. (RT)
