The Pakistanâs A Team took on the West Indies A team during two four-day international matches at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex between Thursday, November 18, and Saturday, November 27. The series ended in a draw.
Last Saturday (November 27), Khan was judged to have been the Man of the Match for both of the two four day matches while he was also given the Man of the Series award.
For taking the three titles, Khan received three Blackberry handsets from Country Manager at Digicel Sonia Polius on Saturday during a short ceremony held in the umpireâs lounge at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.
Commenting through a translator after accepting the handsets, Khan said that that to his knowledge, this is the first time that a sponsor has given incentives at this level.
âThis helps motivate us and encourages us to play well so I will like to say thanks to Digicelâ, said Khan.
He added: âI will like to thank the almighty Allah and say also that I am very satisfied with my performances and I know I played a part in the draw but I would have preferred a win but I am overall satisfiedâ.
Polius said that Digicel is committed to doing whatever they can to enhance West Indies cricket.
