NLA NW T/20 Semi finalists decided

The four teams gaining spots in the semi finals of the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams T/20 Cricket Competition have been decided.{{more}}

Through are defending champions Rivals, Eat Rite Saints, OLA Boutique Radcliffe and Owia Stars.

They did so last Sunday, all with uncomplicated wins.

Rivals made easy pickings of Rivals Two by 62 runs.

Rivals scored 116 for 7 from their 20 overs. Teran Harper led the way with 50.

Darren Greaves took 2 for 18, but his team was then shot out for 53. Roland Wilkinson was Rivals’ most successful bowler with 3 for 13 and Casmond Walters picked up 2 for 9.

Eat Rite Saints defeated Victors One by eight wickets.

Victors One posted 104 for 3 from their allotted 20 overs, led by Donson Andrews’ 47 and Atticus Browne added 36.

Saints responded with 105 for 2 in 12.4 overs. Mc Leon Williams hit 46 not out and Sunil Ambris 36.

OLA Boutique Radcliffe smothered Combined Youths by 59 runs.

Radcliffe batted first and scored 132 for 5 from their 20 overs. Wayne Harper struck 63 and Kenroy Martin, 34. Oneil Endeavour picked up 3 for 2, bowling for Combine Youths.

In reply, Combined Youths made 73 for 9 from their 20 overs. Rickford Walker scored 22. Dyke Cato, 3 for 6, Mahlon John, 2 for 8, Andy Harper, 2 for 12, and Kenroy Martin, 2 for 16, conjured up to see their team march into the semi finals, and a shot at the double, having already taken the RBTT Premier Division.

And, Owia Stars put the plug on the News Spartans’ advancement by 51 runs.

Salvan Browne topscored with 33, as Owia was dismissed for 107. Micha Joseph took 3 for 6, Kissinger Mc Lean, 2 for 15, and Teran Simon, 2 for 25.

Spartans was shot out for 56 off 15. 3 overs. Uzzah Pope sparked briefly with 20, as Razine Browne took 4 for 8 and Glenford Gregg, 2 for 2.

The first semi final will be played this Sunday from 2pm at the Stubbs Playing Field, when Eat Rite Saints meets Rivals.(RT)
