Browne is one of two players from the Windward Islands who have been selected. The other is left arm Grenadian fast bowler Preston Mc Sween.

The right handed Browne is seen by many as a good prospect.

He made the Windwards Under-15 team to the West Indies tournament earlier this year and was drafted in as a replacement for the Windwards Under-19 team in St. Lucia, with the Windwards winning the league format.

Browne, a fifth form student of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School, is also an accomplished field athlete, and plays for Victors One in the domestic Cricket competitions.

The squad of sixteen is made up of players mainly from Trinidad and Tobago, with other coming from St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados and Guyana.

The squad left Trinidad and Tobago last Wednesday night for the trip Down Under, where there will be engaged in four 50 over matches, two 45 over matches, and two T/20 matches. Five of the matches will be played in Sydney and three in Melbourne.

The tour was organized by All Sports Promotion, a Trinidadian company, headed by Tony Harford.

The team is set to return to the Caribbean December 8.
