Peters, 24, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, has been able to keep a 4.0 grade average, and is set to graduate next May.

This has made him a fixture on the Dean’s list.

Into his fourth year, Peters is on a Basketball scholarship, which he gained in 2006, after having been scouted here.

A former St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua and St. Vincent Community College student, Peters has notched up awards on and off the court.

Peters made the Who’s Who among students of US Colleges and Universities last year.

Additionally, he collected three All American awards in 2009.

The six-foot eight inch Peters, from the Belmont area, played a pivotal role in his Basketball team’s latest win last Friday evening.

Peters had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the double-double against Fisher College as Northwest College romped to a 91-57 triumph in a non-conference play.

Northwest University is a four-year Christian University located in Kirkland, Washington, USA, offering many undergraduate and graduate degrees in various areas of specialty. Northwest University was founded in 1934 and at present has a student body of 1400 students.

Greg Peters hails from a sporting family. His brother Nickie Peters, a former national 800m and 1500m athlete, last year gained his PhD from Missouri University, in Nuclear Chemistry.
