This was one of three matches played that day in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams 20/20 Cricket Competition.

Glendell Gregg was their lead batsman with 16, as eight other batsmen fell without scoring.

Alston Bobb assisted Browne with figures of 3 for 13.

Victors One, the 2007 and 2008 champions, responded with 23 for 1 to win by nine wickets.

Similarly, the 2009 winners, MVC Rivals, had a walk in the park against the Neil Williams Academy.

Rivals on a solid foundation of 42 from Hyron Shallow, Teran Harper, 37 not out, and Marvin Small, 28, reached 156 for 5 from their 20 overs. Mickhail Weekes and Kentish Phillips, both grabbed 2 for 38.

The Academy was strangled by the bowling of Olanzo Jackson and Mc Neil Morgan, both former St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards players.

Jackson took 3 for 5, and Morgan 2 for 7, as Academy laboured to 41 for 6 from their allotment of 20 overs.

Rivals Two recorded a three wicket triumph over Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors.

Reduced to 15 overs because of rain, Unique Warriors batted first and posted 115 for 5. Alfie Gould led the way with 35 not out, Leon Samuel struck 30 and Augusts Mofford contributed 25.

Rivals Two secured the victory, reaching 116 for 7 from 14 overs.

Asif Hooper top scored with 32 and Cuthbert Springer hit 20. Bowling for Unique Warriors Adolphus Campbell picked up 3 for 13 and Leon Samuel 2 for 27, but in a losing cause. (RT)
