First Sandy Bay Brownie Pack wins Brownie Sports final

Saturday, July 10, 2010 was a day of triumph for the 1st Sandy Bay Brownie Pack, when they were named overall champions at the Brownie Sports final.{{more}}

The final saw six Brownie packs competing for the coveted Hon. René Baptiste trophy at the Sion Hill Playing Field. The activities included 60m, 100m, 4 x 100m, lime and spoon, three-legged, sack race, needle and thread, wheel barrow, bean bag, hoopla and obstacle races.

Second place was taken by the 1st Layou Brownie pack, and third, the 1st Questelles Brownie Pack. Other packs that took part were the No. 13 C.W Prescod brownie pack, the 1st Lauders brownie pack and the 1st Sion Hill brownie pack.

Prizes were distributed by Laura Browne, Girl Guides International Commissioner. The 1st Questelles brownie pack won a prize for arriving first in full uniform, which was donated by Althea Commisiong, Chief Guiding Commissioner. Brownie Commissioner Jacqueline Soso-Vincent donated the Most Disciplined award, which was won by the 1st Lauders brownie pack.
