Brothers Marlon and Lucky Antrobus were presented with two of 10 bikes destined to aid promising cyclists in the Caribbean region.

They received the road bikes from Trevor ‘Sailor’ Bailey who is the Pan American Cycling Confederation representative and also the President of the local cycling union.

Bailey indicated that the bikes were gifts from ICU president Pat McQuaid, who on a recent visit to this country recognized the potential of cyclists here and in the region and hoped that the gifts would help in their development.

On presentation of the bikes, Bailey encouraged the riders to remain focused in the sport and said he hoped that the gifts would bring success to them in local and regional competition

22-year-old Marlon and 18-year-old Lucky expressed gratitude for the gifts and promised to make good use of them.

Other countries to receive bikes through the initiative are Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Dominica.
