The Tournament, which is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 22, will see seven countries attempt to dethrone last year’s overall champion Trinidad and Tobago at the Cecil Cyrus Squash Complex.

The tournament will also serve as a refereeing clinic, where match officials will receive Level One training on August 14 prior to the beginning of the competition.

President of the National Olympic Committee Trevor Bailey presented Squash President Sherrian Slater with a cheque valued at EC$10,000 to assist with both the training course and competition.

Bailey reiterated the Committee’s commitment to the support of sports in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Slater, when accepting the contribution, acknowledged the assistance that her organization has been receiving from the NOC over the years.

She cited the support that the association had received in facilitating a similar refereeing clinic, and assistance in sending junior squash players to international events.
