NLA Barrouallie Softball Cricket climaxes this Sunday

The finals in the National Lotteries Authority Barrouallie 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition take place this Sunday at the Keartons Playing Field.{{more}}

The semi finalists were decided with the conclusion of the quarter finals on the weekend.

Summerset, 111 for 5, proved too much for Circumstances, who were bowled out for 42. Kevin Small was the destroyer of the Circumstances innings, taking 4 for 6.

Suprisers triumphed over Hill View by 19 runs. Batting first, Suprisers registered 99 for 9 in their 20 overs. Dillon Duncan, batting through the innings to be 39 not out.

Calvert Cordice produced match winning figures of 4 for 21 runs, as Hillview was dismissed for 80.

RSVG Police beat Glen United Police by one run, with 1 ball to spare. Glen batted first and struggled to 75 for 9 in their 20 overs, with Dominic Stowe scoring 20. Kenroy Martin had bowling figures of 3. Police squandered a good opening stand from Salvan Browne -18, and Roderick John -15, who posted a quick 33 in six overs, but finally limped home at 76 for 9 in 19.5 overs. Stowe picked up 3 for 14.

And, Keartons United cruised into the semis without a ball being bowled as their opponent, as Come Again made a no show.

Keartons United meets Suprisers and Summerset takes on RSVG Police in Saturday’s semi-finals. The two winners clash in Sunday’s grand finale. (RT)
