ASCO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition 2010 – Weekend Results for Sat. 17th & Sun. 19th April

On Saturday, six-time female champions United Survivors whipped RSVG Police by 8 wickets. Batting first, the officers were dismissed for 46 in 12.3 overs. Only Karla Burgin, 16, got into double figures. Jenetta Diamond, 4/6, and Phylis Williams, 2/20, wrecked the innings. United Survivors responded with 47/2 in 6.2 overs.{{more}}

Also on Saturday in the male division, Glen United resisted a spirited effort by C.K. Greaves, beating them by 36 runs. Scores: Glen United 166/3 off 20 overs. Maxi Hackshaw, 52, Marcus Hackshaw, 48,* and Gosnel Cupid, 31,* were the main contributors. In reply, C.K. Greaves were dismissed for 130 in 19.2 overs. Clemore Millington got 47 and Wencliff Primus, 23. Kerwyn Daniel bagged 2/4 and Ricky King, 2/23.

On Sunday, Stick Up International disposed of Progressive Youths, beating them by 62 runs. Batting first, Stick Up International posted 113/7 off 20 overs. Kenlon Davis got 32. Danny Daniel captured 2/13, Nicholus Holder, 2/20, and Akeyso Davis, 2/20. In reply, Progressive Youths crumbled for 51 in 12 overs. Kenlon Davis, picked 3/6 and Alex Davis, 3/7.

In game two, also on Sunday, Clinchers humiliated Guidance, beating them by 56 runs. Batting first, Clinchers fell for 95 in 19.5 overs. Carlon John got 29 and Rohan Giles, 21. Carlton Baptist took 2/8, Ashley Cordice, 3/17, and Tyrone Bowens, 3/19. Guidance in reply could only mustered 39 in 11.3 overs. Carlton John 4/7 and Renneal Richards, 3/19, wrecked the innings.

In the weekend’s final encounter, ASCO surrendered to Mac’s East Bank by 4 runs. Batting first, Mac’s East Bank posted 115/8 off 20 overs. Bill Edwards blasted 45 and extras 26. Osborne Franklyn picked up 2/36. ASCO responded with 111/9 in 20 overs. Angel Holder topped the batting with 36 and Nurlon Williams, 23. Kevin Clarke captured 3/17 and Jason Jackson, 2/26.

Five more matches are listed for the weekend.
