Soccer scholarship to USA

Another young Vincentian has received a soccer scholarship to the USA.

Jabneel “Portion” Springer, the son of Pamela Springer of Campden Park, commenced his studies at Briarcliffe College in Long Island, New York, USA, on September 8, 2009.{{more}}

The scholarship is for a period of two academic years, and Springer is pursuing studies leading to the award of an Associate degree in Business Administration, with a view to completing the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration.

Briarcliffe College is ranked number one in the United States Collegiate Athletics Association School Region, and for the current semester has already played 10 matches, recording 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Jabneel has played all 10 matches.

Springer was until recently a member of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Under 20 Football Team.

He also served as a Teacher of Physical Education at the Bethel High School and the Buccament Bay Secondary School.

Springer attended the Lowmans Leeward Anglican School, the Bethel High School and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
