Imperial imperious against Stars in the BCL

In an all Vincentian clash in the Brooklyn Cricket League (BCL) last weekend, Imperial beat Stars by 61 runs.

Imperial, the reigning BCL Knock Out champions, won the toss and took first strike and posted 216 for 7.{{more}} Former Barbadian youth player Sean Mason hit 74, Arthur Cains made 50, and former St. Vincent and Grenadines and Windwards middle order batsman Clarence Wyllie struck 35 not out.

Kenneth Charles took 3 for 45, and Gregory Blair, 3 for 51.

Replying, Stars’ innings closed at 155 all out. David Chance made a top score of 59; Vin Stanislaus added 31 and Frank Jackson, 19.

Off-spinner Mofford, 4 for 44, and veteran player, another former St. Vincent and the Grenadines middle order batsman, Colville Browne, took 2 for 25.

On Sunday, Stars fared no better and they took another beating at Marine Park from Pak Eleven.

This weekend Stars again has two games, both at Marine Park. On Saturday, Stars United plays Shaheen and on Sunday , they take on Diplomats.

On Saturday, another Vincentian outfit Cavalier plays Scorpions, and on Sunday Warriors’ both games are set for Marine Park.

Imperial, also a Vincentian team, plays Diplomats on Saturday at Sea View, and Middlesex on Sunday at Marine Park.(RT)
