SVG In search of Carifta glory

A small group of Vincentian athletes left our local shores on Wednesday bound for St Lucia in pursuit of Carifta glory.{{more}} The team, led by the experienced Courtney Williams (100m/200m), is this year strengthened by the addition of US-based Lyndon Samuel, who is making his first appearance at the regional event. He will contest the 400m and the 800m.

Other members of the 2009 Carifta team are: Delhonni Samuel (Canada-based), competing in the 1500m and 5000m; Nikita Toney – Shot Putt; Collette Charles – Triple Jump; Kyle Greaves – 200m/400m. The teamâs management comprises: Rosmund Griffith (Manager/Chaperone/Coach, Byron Quamina (Coach) and Hugh Reid (Coach).
