Standard shippers rewards motorcyclists
For the first time in this countryâs history, St. Vincent and the Grenadines fielded a team of riders in the regional PPG Cool Riderz motocross event held at the Duncan Punnett Park at Pembroke on Sunday, October 26th.{{more}}
The riders, most of them youths, held their own amongst the more experienced regional competition in this relatively new sport to St.Vincent and the Grenadines.
Two riders from the team were rewarded for their performance, determination and perseverance, even though neither of them owns a bike and they both had less than a weekâs practice.
At the prize giving ceremony, which immediately followed the event, Jormano Tash and Mekel Emmons were each handed cheques in the amount of $500 by Conroy McBarnett, representing Standard Caribbean Shippers Ltd. & Carl Munro. McBarnett is encouraging other local businesses to get on board and help to develop our youths in this new sport.
