The Finals are expected to serve as part of the selection process for the national squad looking to take part in a regional competition.

Coach of the National Domino Team Dean Clouden said that he hopes to field a team in regional action next, after missing out in Antigua this year because of the absence of local competition. St. Vincent and the Grenadines placed third the last time they competed in 2006.

Eight teams are down to square off at Black Point starting at 1pm: Tai Chi, Printery, Stone Wall, Beard Man Stars, Kerry Stars, Water hole, Things to Talk, and Penniston United.

The finalists were rewarded with seven cases of beer on Wednesday by St. Vincent Brewery Marketing Manager Wayne Murphy, for winning their respective zones.

Apart from the first prizes, the second placed team will receive five cases of Hairoun Beer, third place three cases and fourth two cases.

The competition will be followed by an all day domino pairs competition on November 1st at Pier One in Kingstown, and a Guinness Domino tournament, which is expected to last two months later this year.
