The twelve member team made up of students from the Canouan Government School and whose ages range from seven to eleven years played three matches, winning one and losing two.

According to a release from the club’s President Simon Julian, the Junior CUBS won their first match 1-0, but subsequently lost 4-2 and 4-0.

Julian singled out the nine-year-old Richard Hosein as the team’s Most Valuable Player; he was not afraid to compete against players twice his size.

The players, along with the four officials, were guests of the Valley Soccer Academy.

Julian said that the one-year-old club plans to make the trip, which this year was financed by several business entities on Canouan, an annual affair. (RT)
