The defending champion is one of eight teams to have advanced to this stage of the competition.

Also advancing were Simple Boys, Simple Boys Two, ASCO One, ASCO Two, Kayous and Survivors.

Simple Boys had a dress rehearsal last weekend. They gave another of the quarter finalists, ASCO Two, a bad appetizer. Simple Boys posted 100 in 15.5 overs.

Both Oswald Soleyn and Marlon Farrell shared the topscore of 18.

For ASCO Two, Gary Williams took 5 for 19 runs, and O’Neil Endeavour, 2 for 19.

Vernardo Primus had the amazing figures of 5 for 5, as ASCO Two was dismissed for 64 runs in 19.4 overs. Kishorn Williams topscored with 23.

But another of the quarter finalists ASCO One did not show up for their meeting with Simple Boys Two.

As the rehearsal continued last weekend, Simple Boys Two posted 94 for 7 in 15 overs, reduced because of the rain. Amos Clarke snared 3 for 15 and Holford Browne 2 for 15.

Rain then intervened in the proceedings. At that point, Survivors was 47 for 7, but Simple Boys Two triumphed.

At the end of the tenth over, Simple Boys Two was 72 for 4. At that same stage, Survivors was 42 for 6.

The quarter final match ups make interesting reading. Simple Boys Two and Progressive get the action started from 1pm tomorrow at the Dauphine Playing Field. Then from 3:15, Simple Boys faces Kayous.

The clash of the ASCO clan takes place from 1pm on Sunday, when ASCO One meets ASCO Two. This will be followed by the match up between Shot Callers and Survivors. (RT)
