Local B’ball players get exposure in Grenada

The members of the Playaz Basketball Club sponsored by SVG General Services Ltd along with Canadian Basketball Coach Weekes and Club Manager Orlando Fergusson had the opportunity to journey with the SVG Bikers Association to Grenada to participate in the Easter Basketball Event.{{more}}

The club was successful in four of five games played. The club also entered two teams in a three on three tournament.

Both teams faced off in the semi-finals to prevent conflict. In the final, Playaz Basketball Club went under to a Top Grenada team, placing 2nd overall.

The club also saw Joel Garraway winning the three point shoot out competition and Dale Shepherd winning the slam dunk competition.

The coach and manager congratulated the boys on their playing, noting that the exposure is good and playing so well against top basketball teams in Grenada.

The team and individuals walked away with prizes.
